Loretta's eligibility is through her husband, Harold, a World War II and Korean War Veteran. They have 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren to contribute to the Legion family. Some of whom have served and some currently serving in military service. During her 28 years of membership she has served multiple terms as President of her Unit, as well as all other unit officer and chairman positions. She has served as District President and all chairmanships on the District level and several terms as District Treasurer. She has served the Department for 10 years as personal page, Marshall, two terms as Chaplain, Community Service Chairman, Americanism Chairman, Poppy Chairman, National Security Chairman, Children and Youth Chairman and Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation Chairman. Loretta served her community as a Sunday school teacher for 20 years, is a member of the Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge and as a member and past officer of the VFW. She was a community hospital volunteer for several years. She volunteers occasionally at the local VA Outpatient Clinic. Her experience in the business world includes several years in the accounting industry before devoting her time to marriage and raising a family. She then opened her own business in the Ceramic and Plaster Craft industry which she worked in for 20 years before returning to the accounting industry. She retired in December 2010 to devote her time and energy to her family and to the Auxiliary. She has deep devotion, loyalty, love and dedication to the veterans that have served and military members that are currently serving this great and wonderful nation.
